We had an excellent holiday . The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We were able to walk into the centre of Palermo easily from the hotel, but staff also gave advice on other places to visit. Their recommendations for restaurants were excellent. Our room was a good size and comfortable with air conditioning . The hotel is clean and welcoming. You have a lovely variety of food at the breakfast buffet.
I had read that this hotel was very good, but in a rather scary area. Can confirm the former - it is a lovely hotel. we stayed in a superior room and it was a large, beautifully appointed, well furnished room, with very comfortable bed. As for the area, I never felt threatened: in fact, there were lots of families with young children milling about nearby, looking perfectly relaxed. The location is great, on a small street (which can be a bit noisy) which links easily to a lot of the interesting building, public gardens and places of interest. Could not fault the hotel for the staff (who were very friendly and helpful), its decor, which is modern and fresh, nor the rooms, which are great. I would heartily recommend this hotel!
Hotel Joili is a quaint and lovely hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Able to walk to attractions and great restaurants especially Giada Rest. one block over with excellent food. Breakfast at hotel was wonderful with typical Italian sweets, cereal, ham. salami, cheeses, canned fruit, juices and a wonderful coffee barista . Breakfast staff were all smiles and served coffee to your table.
We had a room with a balcony as requested for 5 nights (booked through Expedia) and no surprise fees when we departed.
5 day stay with clean towels everyday (not unusual for Italy hotels not to change sheets daily, but you will get any service if requested!
Would definitely stay again and have already suggested hotel to others. Many people from around the world were staying at Hotel Joli at the same time. A real treat to meet them all. Reasonable price for October.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, you could not ask for better treatment -- from the manager the last person! Since the airline misplaced our luggage for 3+ days, every staff member at intervals kept checking with the airline to inquire about the status of the luggage, Once it arrived, and one suitcase was badly damaged, they kept calling to inquire about the the procedure to have it replaced. They provided tips as to where suitcases may be bought at reasonable prices, tips on restaurants, places to visit, such as Sciacca, Cefalù, Marsala, etc, safety advice...
The manager is a "hands on" person: she assists in serving breakfast (which is very extensive, both hot and cold, greets newcomers, inquires about your comfort, etc.

The receptionist spoke good english and gave us last available room ( I made a mistake in date's when booking for Easter Sunday! ). Not a single fault I'd say with the hotel, room or the location. In few minutes walk from hotel you can catch the bus/train to the airport - convenient!
I'd recommend for a stay definitely.
"Nice hotel right in the historic center of Palermo"
All was good. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only thing I could pick on is the variety of breakfast and maybe they could think of some extra service like bike rental or roof top terrace, kettle in the room. The room was cleaned every day, new towels etc. WIFI worked okay.

The hotel was a bit of a mission to find (coming from London) wasn't quiet use to the narrow alley/streets of Palermo but soon figured it out. The room and hotel were very clean and the room itself was spacious and comfortable.
Staff: Were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke english which was a HUGE help in a city were very few people speak english.
the only issue was the very weak/no wifi signal :( but I was on vacation so i didn't really care! :)
I would definately stay there again, very good value for money!
