great hotel, great staff. A little far from the city, but there is a shuttle from the hotel to the city. Would recommend it. Would stay there again.

“Wonderful Patagonian Hotel”

Gorgeous hotel overlooking the Argentina Lake in Patagonia. We had the most amazing view. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was located far from the city center. There is a shuttle that the hotel provides, but this starts at 6:00pm, and runs one time each hour. Overall, I loved our hotel and would definitely recommend it.

“Cool hotel”

The hotel is on a hill with great views of the lake. Being just out of town makes it a quiet place to stay and the frequent shuttle in and out of "downtown" makes it convenient. Inside it was very chic and comfortable. Here and there throughout the hotel you find cozy little spots for reading or visiting, and the huge windows in the main reception/dining area make for really grand views of the lake. We only stayed one night, and my husband and I were rather tired so we had room service for dinner. I was really in the mood for some comfort food, but nothing from the room service menu seemed to fit the bill. We ordered sandwiches and I asked if they had any chips or french fries to go with them. They didn't, but he offered to make some just for me. They seemed like the best fries I'd ever eaten! And the "sandwich" I ordered was actually 4 sandwiches! So they don't skimp on the portions. My husband and I were really pleased with the hotel and were sorry we were only there for one night. If we ever go back to El Calafate we'll definitely try to stay at Design Suites again.

“Best view in El Calafate”

This hotel is beautiful with a very nice view of the Argentino Lake. Is not inside the town, but there is a transfer and the cabs are cheap.

The view is beautiful and the staff was very accomodating and helpful, especially when they let us stay in the room extra time after check out because our flight had been canceled.

amazing location & value for money, excellent view. Only the in house dining is awful, no value for money, go into town & eat there in the numerous wonderful restaurants.
